Fabrication Engineer | Visionary Builder | Co-Founder

Alex Acosta is a self-taught fabrication engineer and the creative force behind Dos Locos Fabrication. With a deep understanding of how things are built—and how they should be built—Alex leads the company’s vision, innovation, and technical direction.

Alex began working in construction at 18, gaining hands-on experience across concrete work, heavy machinery operation, and large-scale fabrication environments. Over time, he evolved into a multidisciplinary builder, mastering welding across materials and processes while expanding into CAD design, 3D printing, CNC processes, electrical wiring, LED integration, and prototyping.

At Dos Locos, Alex is responsible for idea development and engineering direction—asking better questions, challenging standard approaches, and designing smarter solutions that remain grounded in real-world fabrication. His ability to collaborate across disciplines ensures creativity never outpaces buildability.

Alex is known for his ability to translate between worlds: speaking the language of engineers, designers, and clients while ensuring ideas make sense for fabricators and installers. His work pushes Dos Locos toward what’s next without losing sight of how things get built today.

Outside the shop, Alex is a proud dad to his daughter and a natural behind the wheel. He has a passion for driving and privately chauffeurs as a hobby—because he doesn’t stop at shop. When he’s not building or driving, you’ll likely find him leading a karaoke session, where country music is the fastest way to get him going.
